Embrace the Suck!

I came across this great blog titled, Embrace the Suck by Brendon Burchard. He's a top motivational speaker and writer. The title truly stood out to me and it really stroked my curiousity to watch the video click. It was only about five minutes long but in the video Brendon gave a new perspective on how to engage with things that we really don't like doing. Things that suck to us. Check out the video clip here for yourselves. The more we dread what we don't like, the bigger it gets. In light of this title, I wanted to address the issue of overcoming fear in the same context. For most of us who have overcomed living in fear or is going through the process of overcoming it, it's often a difficult road. Some of us might plainly say, it sucks. The internal work necessary to renew and change how we think. The negative belief systems we're often enslaved to that must be broken and reprogrammed to a new system of positive beliefs takes a lot of work. The journey to personal freedom is often not easy and it may suck at times but the outcome is so worth it. As Brendon mentioned in the blog, don't engage what sucks with hate (watch the clip to understand this more in depth). So in the process of overcoming fear, don't hate, dread or fear the process. Hating it will only turn it into a monster and make it more difficult to perform. Instead, embrace it. Embrace the suck because the end result  is FREEDOM. Freedom to live your best life and pursue the things you've always wanted to accomplished but fear stopped you. Go through the process to your change. Though it may suck sometimes, you must do the work necessary to bring you to the other side. Your greatness is calling. Are you answering? Your greatness lies beyond your fears. Freedom really is your portion in life so go through the process to achieve it. No excuses.
