An Effective Way To Overcoming Fear

Simply put, get to the root of it. If you don't deal with the root, it will keep producing fruit in your life. Your symptoms and behaviors won't change. Your thought process around fear won't change. Look at why the issue of fear became a real situation in your life. Examine when this fear started? When it was planted? What event or situation created this path of fear in your life? Go back to the origin of this fear and how it was able to take root. It's important to go back to the beginning of it, so you could identify deeper rooted things that fuel your fears. Fear doesn't begin with fear. Something deeper is giving room for fear to take place. Traumatic situations often create the perfect scenario to interject fear in your life. For me, experiencing abandonment and rejection allowed fear to take root in my life at a very early age. Trusting The Process

Much uncertainty comes with learning to trust the process. That's why is not always easy to do so. With time, you must become comfortable with not always knowing if what you're doing is working, if it will pay off and bear fruit. There are so many unanswered questions that comes up in the process and that's okay. This is all apart of the journey. Little by little you'll learn what you need to do. I remember learning to just be consistent with the things I needed to do day in and day out. Developing discipline and pushing pass my feelings. Learning to motivate myself and look to the finish line and the end result of what I'm trying to achieve. So many times when we start doing something, we want to see results right away or at least within a couple of months. Anything great takes time, so we must make up our minds that we are in it for the long haul.   Hey There! What have you done for fun lately? I know we are living in unprecedented times with COVID and everything that comes with this historic pandemic. I know many are out of work, feeling heavy financial straint, dealing with various challenges and are hard pressed to the limit. I know it’s not a fun time for many and that’s definitely true. In spite of these REAL devastating realities many are facing, your self-care should never be put on hold. There should be no time out for self-care. Setting aside intentional time to do something fun and enjoyable for yourself is apart of your self-care package. I believe things that are fun, enjoyable and that puts you at ease and help you to unwind and refresh yourself, should be things that we schedule into our time daily or weekly.
